What is Paravel Communications?

Paravel Communications is a design house with one desire,  to provide standards-based solutions for its partners that are affordable but not look like it was done by the high school media department (No offense to those high schools with crack design teams. . .just overgeneralizing here.  *smile*).

Formerly known as BlueBoy Multimedia, Mike Norton has designed and established many web and network solutions for both church and buisness as well as the hobbyist for over 10 years.  Now offering his services on a broader scope, Paravel Communications is born.

What or who is Paravel?  Some have asked about our name.  Paravel Communications is named after the fictional location in C.S. Lewis's Narnia books, Cair Paravel. Cair Paravel is the castle where the Kings and Queens of Narnia rule in The Chronicles of Narnia.  Owner and lead designer Mike Norton is a big fan of the late C.S. Lewis's writing, both fantasy and non-fiction.  Taking the ideas and concepts from Lewis, Mike has even created characters in his favorite MMOs named Paravel.  They are our mascots of sorts.

Who is Mike Norton?

Mike Norton is owner and lead designer for Paravel Communications.  He has had over 16 years experience with computer media starting back in the old BBS days of modems and dial up.

He graduated from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College with a Bachelor in Ministry.  He has served as senior pastor for the past eleven years.  Now working in the tech field Mike provides a unique insight into church and business needs as they create a web presence that is more than an online billboard. 

He has been involved in many new and exciting technologies over the past 11 years.  Creating and managing a podcasting network, game servers, and web hosting. 

Mike started Paravel Communications with a deep desire to help provide quality web sites and applications for churches, business and hobbyists.  His passions are online gaming, blogging, reading several RSS feeds a day and keeping up on tech trends.
